RIMAUNEWS, PALEMBANG- Guna memajukan Cabang Olahraga Pencak Silat di kota Palembang, Pengurus Cabang (PC) Ikatan Pencak Silat Indonesia (IPSI) Kota Palembang Periode 2020-2024 terus berupaya dalam melahirkan para atlet berprestasi dari setiap Kecamatan yang ada di kota Palembang.
Seperti yang disampaikan Ketua Harian IPSI kota Palembang, Kapten (Purn) Ketut, bahwa pihaknya rencana akan menggelar Kejuaraan Kota (Kejurkot) Tingkat Dewasa guna menjaring para atlet Pencak Silat berprestasi dari setiap Kecamatan yang ada di kota Palembang.
Pihanya juga sengaja meminta dukungan dari Pemerintah kota Palembang, dalam hal ini Walikota Palembang untuk menyampaikan rencana Kejurkot yang akan dilaksanakan pada tanggal 12 -14 Febuari mendatang.
Pastinya ini merupakan suatu harapan kita agar IPSI kota Palembang ini dapat lebih maju dari sebelumnya. kata Ketut usai Audiensi bersama Walikota Palembang, Harnojoyo di Rumah Dinas Walikota. Kamis (21/01/2021)
“Kejuaraan Kota ini rencana akan digelar pada tanggal 12 hingga 14 Febuari. Pelaksanaannya nantinya juga akan menerapkan Protokol Kesehatan, sesuai arahan dari pak Wali, dengan jumlah yang tidak lebih dari 50 orang,” tambahnya.
Ditempat yang sama, Ketua Pelaksana Kejurkot, Darmayanti juga menjelaskan, berbagai persiapan juga telah dilakukan jelang Kejurkot yang akan digelar pada Febuari mendatang.
“Perhelatan yang direncakana pada 12 hingga 14 Febuari tahun ini, kesiapan gedung sudah di oke kan oleh pihak gedung JSC, dan kita ditempatkan di GOR Dempo,” ungkapnya.
Ia juga menuturkan, dalam sisitim penilaian itu sendiri, pihaknya juga sengaja menggunakan sistem papan skor guna menghindari keresahan bagi para peserta.
“Untuk jumlah pesertanya juga tidak terlalu besar, karena sudah kita saring dari setiap Kecamatan, dan mengingat ini juga masih dalam kondisi pandemi. Tiap kecamatan itu jumlahnya tidak lebih dari 20 orang pastinya,” tuturnya.
Sementara itu, Walikota Palembang H. Harnojoyo nampak menyambut baik kegiatan Kejurkot yang segera akan dilaksanakan tersebut.
Walikota Palembang dua periode itu juga berharap, dengan adanya Kejurkot yang dilaksanakan tersebut guna mempersiapkan para atlet jelang Pekan Olahraga Provinsi yang akan dilaksanakan.
