RIMAUNEWS, MUBA – PT Marga Bara Jaya (MBJ), perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang infrastruktur dan logistik bekerja sama denganTim Penggerak PKK Batanghari Leko menggelar Lomba Kemasan UP2K dan Produk Kerajinan Gambo se-Kecamatan Batanghari Leko, Musi Banyuasin (MUBA) Sumatera Selatan bagi para pemilik UMKM (Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah). Lomba yang diikuti oleh 13 dari 16 desa di Batanghari Leko ini diselenggarakan sebagai tindak lanjut dari pelatihan desain kemasan di Rumah Kemasan Batanghari Leko pada akhir Januari 2022 lalu.
Perwakilan PT MBJ, Anton Wasito, mengatakan bahwa lomba yang diadakan ini sebagai wujud komitmen MBJ untuk terus mendorong geliat perekonomian masyarakat di Batanghari Leko, MUBA, Sumsel. “Kami berusaha untuk membantu, mengajak dan menarik UMKM untuk bangkit kembali setelah sempat jatuh sebagai dampak pandemi COVID-19,” kata Anton di Tanah Abang, MUBA, Sumsel, Kamis (7/4). Dan sebagai upaya mendukung Program Pemulihan Ekonomi (PEN) yang dicanangkan oleh Pemerintah Pusat.
Selain itu, tambah Anton, lomba yang digelar di Batanghari Leko ini diharapkan bisa menjadi salah satu stimulus untuk menaikkan daya jual produk-produk di MUBA dengan kemasan yang baik dan sesuai standar. Dan kerja sama antara sektor swasta dan pemerintah daerah ini merupakan bentuk simbiosis mutualisme untuk mendukung peningkatan perekonomian daerah
Ketua Tim Penggerak PKK Batanghari Leko, MUBA, Imelda Marsya mengatakan bahwa lomba ini untuk menggali potensi yang ada di masyarakat terkait produk unggulan dan juga kreatifitas dari masing-masing pelaku UMKM. “Kami ingin melihat juga sejauh mana penerapan dari pelatihan desain kemasan yang sudah mereka terima beberapa waktu lalu,” kata dia.
Imelda menjelaskan melalui lomba ini pihak pembina, Tim Penggerak PKK, juga dapat mengetahui kelebihan dan kekurangan dari setiap produk yang akan menjadi catatan untuk diperbaiki ke depannya.
Lomba yang diselenggarakan selama 10 hari sejak akhir Maret 2022 ini diikuti oleh 13 desa yang ada di Batanghari Leko, diantaranya yaitu Tanah Abang, Talang Leban, Saud, Bukit Selabu, Pinggap, Tanung Bali, Sungai Napal dan Ulak Kembang. Desain kemasan yang dilombakan berisi produk-produk unggulan dari masing-masing desa dan juga kerajinan dari produk bahan gambo khas MUBA.
Untuk lomba dengan hadiah jutaan rupiah ini akan memilih 6 produk terbaik dan 6 kerajinan terbaik. Selain desain kemasan yang dinilai, ada beberapa kriteria lainnya yang menjadi dasar penilaian para juri. Untuk produk akan dinilai juga untuk cita rasa,kemasan,nilai gizi dan nilai jual. Sedangkan untuk lomba kerajinan mencakup kerapuan,keunikan dan kegunaan. Dewan juri dalam lomba ini ada empat orang, yaitu Ketua TP PKK Batanghari Leko, Imelda Marsya, Sekretaris Camat Batanghari Leko, Gunawan, Sekretaris PKK Batanghari Leko, Yulia dan Ahli Gizi Puskesmas Batanghari Leko, Tiara Defianti.
Imelda menambahkan bahwa setiap produk akan diberi penilaian sebagai pembinaan untuk lebih meningkatkan kreatifitas tiap desa dalam mengoptimalkan potensinya. Dan untuk kegiatan lomba ini bisa menjadi tolok ukur bagi Pemda terkait pemberdayaan UMKM.
Sementara itu, Wahyuni Yuliantika, Ketua TP. PKK Desa Pengaturan yang berhasil menyabet juara pertama untuk dua ketegori lomba (produk dan kerajinan gambo) mengatakan bahwa kesempatan mengikuti lomba dan menang menjadi sarana untuk memperluas pemasaran produk dari desanya. “Karena selama ini pemasaran masih menjadi kendala utama untuk menjual produk dari desanya,” ujar dia. Keberhasilan desanya memenangkan lomba ini, tambah dia, juga didukung oleh program pelatihan Rumah Kemasan yang didukung PT MBJ selain usaha untuk berlatih dan rajin mencari referensi.
UMKM menjadi salah satu sektor yang menjadi bidikan untuk kembali menggerakkan roda perekonomian di Indonesia. Kerja sama PT MBJ dan PKK Batanghari Leko ini memiliki tujuan mendongkrak kehidupan masyarakat di Batanghari Leko melalui wirausaha dan diharapkan bisa meluas ke seluruh MUBA, Sumsel. (Ril)
