PTBA Terapkan ESG untuk Keberlanjutan dan Ketahanan Energi Nasional

RIMAUNEWS, MUARA ENIMPT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA), anggota dari holding BUMN pertambangan MIND ID, menegaskan komitmen penerapan ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) dalam menjalankan bisnis perusahaan yang berkelanjutan dan mendukung ketahanan energi nasional.

PTBA memastikan penerapan regulasi internasional yang mengacu kepada Pedoman United Nation Sustainability Development Goal’s (UN SDG’s), Environmental Social Governance (ESG) dan Prinsip Penambangan International Council on Mining and Metals (ICMM) yang telah konsinten diterapkan pada seluruh proses bisnis di Perusahaan.

Penerapan ESG ini sekaligus langkah konkrit PTBA dalam merespon tuntutan global terkait Perubahan Iklim dan dukungan terhadap target Net Zero Carbon yang telah ditetapkan pemerintah Indonesia.

Wujud komitmen terhadap isu Perubahan Iklim juga telah ditunjukkan dengan kerjasama strategis antara PTBA dengan lembaga CDP dalam bentuk pendampingan penyusunan Laporan CDP-Climate Change PTBA yang akan dipublikasikan di awal bulan Desember 2021.

Direktur Utama PT Bukit Asam Tbk Suryo Eko Hadianto menegaskan bahwa ESG merupakan syarat utama bagi perusahaan agar memiliki going concern kedepannya. Tidak hanya berpikir apa yang akan dilakukan hari ini tapi juga harus berfikir tentang Perusahaan ini kedepan bagaimana perusahaan ini akan sustain.

Suryo mengatakan ESG harus sudah tertanam dalam hati setiap pegawai dalam menjalankan pekerjaannya.

“Environmental dari ESG sudah kita tuangkan dalam visi kita yaitu sebagai perusahaan energi dan kimia kelas dunia yang peduli lingkungan. Dari visi tersebut, peduli lingkungan, ESG-nya harus ada di dalam,” ujar Suryo Eko dalam acara Workshop ESG Management System yang dilaksanakan secara Hybrid dengan mematuhi protokol kesehatan, Selasa (30/11/2021).

Sementara untuk unsur Sosial, PTBA juga memiliki rangkaian program untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Salah satunya adalah program pengentasan kemiskinan yang diluncurkan November lalu, untuk memberantas kemiskinan di wilayah Lawang Kidul, Tanjung Enim, Sumatera Selatan.

“Kegiatan bisnis PTBA semuanya hampir berada di Lawang Kidul. Bentuk kepedulian sosial ini harus dilatarbelakangi secara filosofi dan pemahaman secara mendasar. memanage kepedulian sosial harus dari hati, jangan sampai masih ada yang miskin di sekitar tambang kita.”

Unsur governance yang paling esensial adalah integritas. Suryo mengatakan soal integritas ini selalu ditekankan berkali-kali dalam setiap kegiatan.

Berbicara terkait ESG, kata Suryo, juga berkaitan dengan sustainability, yaitu sustanibility terhadap lingkungan, sustainability terhadap kehidupan sosial sekitar kita dan sustainability terhadap bisnis perusahaan dimana sistem ESG ini hanya sebuah langkah untuk menuju 3 sustanability tersebut.

Pada agenda ini juga diisi dengan Sharing Session terkait kilas balik ESG 2021 dan Outlook ESG 2022, Paparan terkait Tanggung Jawab Sosial dan Lingkungan (TJSL) oleh Satuan Kerja CSR, Paparan terkait Program Pengentasan Kemiskinan oleh Tim Pengentasan Kemiskinan, Paparan terkait Risiko Korporat dan Workshop Penyusunan Kertas Kerja ESG Stock Code mengacu pada Program Kerja RKAP 2021, Program Kerja 2022 dan rencana 5 tahun kedepan.
