RIMAUNEWS, LAHAT. Pengelolaan Sawah baru oleh masyarakat guna memenuhi kebutuhan pangan kian meningkat. Pasalnya, hasil penghitungan yang dilakukan dinas Pertanian kabupaten Lahat, terjadi peningkatan luas area Sawah sebesar 131.64 Hektare dari tahun 2021 lalu.
Kepala Dinas Tanaman Pangan Hortikultura dan Peternakan, Kabupaten Lahat, Eti Listina SP MM, melalui Kabid Sarana Prasarana Pertanian, Alfatah Dwi Putra Spt, disampaikan Pejabat Fungsional Analisis Kebijakan Lahan dan Irigasi, Muhaimin SE MM mengatakan, tahun 2020 LBS di Kabupaten Lahat berkisar 12.647 hektar, dengan adanya penambahan menjadi 12.779 hektar.
” Bertambah 131.64 hektar, berdasarkan pengukuran dengan cara pengambilan titik koordinat di lokasi yang belum berwarna hijau di aplikasi Apenza Map,” kata Muhaimin, belum lama ini.
Menurut dia, Pada aplikasi Apenza Map terlihat lahan sawah belum berwarna hijau, kemudian diambil titik koordinatnya, baru dikirim ke tim Pokja LBS Provinsi Sumsel, kemudian diolah menggunakan aplikasi ArcGIS, dapatlah luasan tersebut.
Muhaimin membeberkan, data tersebut versi tim Pokja LBS dari Kabupaten Lahat. Tim Pokja terdiri dari asisten II, Dinas Tanaman Pangan Hortikultura dan Peternakan, Bappeda, PUPR, BPS dan BPN. Penambahan LBS terjadi di Kecamatan Kikim Barat, Kikim Selatan, Kikim Tengah, Kikim Timur, Kota Agung, Merapi Timur dan Tanjung Tebat.
“Mungkin ada sebagian masyarakat yang membuka lahan sawah baru, tapi sebagian besar belum terdata, karena lokasinya berada jauh dari hamparan lahan sawah yang luas,”sampainya.(man)
