HD Instruksikan Rumah Sakit Tambah Ruang ICU

RIMAUNEWS, PALEMBANG – Pemerintah Provinsi Sumsel tengah fokus melakukan berbagai cara guna penanganan Covid-19 di Sumsel. Terlebih saat ini, penularan wabah tersebut kian masif dari masyarakat ke masyarakat lainnya.

Gubernur Sumsel H Herman pun mengistruksikan agar setiap rumah sakit menambah ruang Intensive Care Unit (ICU) sebagai tempat untuk merawat pasien Covid-19 yang kondisi kesehatannya menurun drastis.

“Saya intruksikan setiap rumah sakit menambah ruang ICU untuk perawatan para pasien itu. Tidak terkecuali, baik rumah sakit di Palembang maupun rumah sakit di kabupaten/kota saya minta untuk tambah ICU,” kata HD, beberapa waktu lalu.

Apalagi, keberlangsungan wabah Covid-19 ini tidak bisa diprediksi sampai kapan terjadi sehingga setiap langkah yang dilakukan harus selalu dievaluasi berdasarkan perkembangan Covid-19.

“Kita dituntut untuk selalu siap. Kita tidak bisa memprediksi sampai kapan Covid-19 ini berakhir. Sebab itu, kita harus siap termasuk menambah ICU di rumah sakit ini untuk menampung jika pasien yang kondisinya memang menurun,” katanya.

Dia menjelaskan, penambahan ruang ICU tersebut bisa memanfaatkan atau mengalihkan ruangan lain yang masih bisa digunakan.

“Bisa mengalihkan ruangan lain menjadi ruang ICU misalnya atau mengubah UGD. Yang jelas ruang ICU di rumah sakit ini harus ditambah,” tegasnya.

Hal itu, lanjutnya, demi mendorong percepatan penanganan Covid-19. Termasuk juga untuk Alat Pelindung Diri (APD). HD mempersilahkan Kabupaten/Kota mengajukan pengadaan APD ke Pemprov Sumsel.

“Kalau nantinya ada peralatan yang kurang, bisa minta kepada Pemprov. Untuk APD juga, rumah sakit sampai Puskesmas silahkan ajukan. Kita maksimalkan penanganan Covid-19 ini,” pungkasnya. (advetorial)
