RIMAUNEWS, PALEMBANG- Mendapat dukungan penuh dari insan pers untuk menggaungkan program Gerakan Sumsel Mandiri Pangan (GSMP), Gubernur Provinsi Sumatera Selatan (Sumsel) H. Herman Deru mengaku bangga dan mengapresiasi keterlibatan pers untuk bersinergi bersama Pemprov Sumsel.
Herman Deru menyampaikan terima kasih atas prakarsa Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) yang mengusung topik “Memperkuat sinergi, pers mendukung Sumsel Mandiri Pangan”, dalam acara HUT PWI ke-76 sekaligus Gebyar Hari Pers Nasional (HPN) 2022, pada tangga 4 hingga 6 Oktober, di Kota Prabumulih mendatang.
“PWI dapat berperan menjadi motor penggerak yang sangat strategis, guna mengisi ruang publik dengan informasi yang menggaungkan GSMP, dimana ada peran penting GSMP juga di dalam upaya menekan laju inflasi di Provinsi Sumsel,” katanya saat menerima panitia HUT PWI, di Ruang Tamu Gubernur Sumsel, Selasa (27/9).
Diakui Herman Deru, media mempunyai peran yang sangat penting dan strategis di dalam memajukan Provinsi Sumsel dalam menggaungkan GSMP.
“Pers dapat memberikan gambaran objektif kepada masyarakat, sehingga dapat menggugah kesadaran masyarakat dalam mensuksekan Gerakan Sumsel Mandiri Pangan,” tuturnya
Ketua Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia Sumsel H. Firdaus Komar menyampaikan terimakasih kepada Gubernur Provinsi Sumsel H. Herman Deru yang telah mensuport kegiatan HUT ke-76 PWI dan Hari Pers Nasional 2022.
